Reach for the Stars is a nightly spectacular at Tokyo Disneyland that brings the iconic Cinderella Castle to life through 3D projection mapping, lighting, lasers and pyrotechnics.
As Creative Lead at Artists in Motion, I collaborated closely with Disney’s creative team to shape the story and define the major visual beats that drive the castle through a sequence of magical transformations. It was a deep dive into the Disney world, drawing on iconic characters and stories to turn the building into a vast cinematic canvas.
I led the animation team through the full creative process, from initial storyboards and visual development through to final production and edits. The goal was to ensure every scene felt carefully tailored to the castle’s unique architecture, allowing the imagery and the building to work as one. Being part of the on-site team in Tokyo meant seeing the project through to the very end, helping refine the final details and bring the nightly spectacular to life.
